I am a France-born Software Engineer living in Montréal
My journey started in 2010 when I decided to leave France for a university exchange in Chile. I had no idea how much that one choice would shape my life!
The plan was to study there for 6 months… I ended up staying for over a decade. Then a company in Québec reached out, and I have called Canada home since 2023.
That is 16 years of building for the web. Along the way, I have had the chance to work with incredible people at many companies, shipping applications that are fast, accessible, and made to last.
I also dedicate my spare time to personal side projects and to coaching other tech folks.

I love working on frontend and full stack systems designed to stay maintainable. I care just as much about the invisible parts, like testing, performance budgets, and the small optimizations that make things feel fast. And I lead teams, which has honestly become my favourite part of the job.
And you know what? The best thing I have built usually is not code. It is the habits and culture that outlast me.
More than anything, I believe accessibility and performance decide whether software lets people in or keeps them out. I like closing the gap between design and engineering, and I am happiest on projects that push the tech forward while leaving room for people to grow.
My professional road, so far
My path runs across three countries, two continents. Each stop taught me something the last one could not, and all of them shaped how I work and lead.

In Research & Development, I maintained and modernized the internal admin platform that enterprise clients rely on. The role gave me a direct view of enterprise AI across search, relevance, generative answering, and agentic AI, and it pushed me to think about the whole client experience, not just the code.
The redesigned platform section let clients see what their subscriptions included, so they relied less on sales and support. A multistep onboarding tour I prototyped became a core product feature after users responded well to it.
Tech Lead & Software Engineer L3
I first joined remotely from Chile to maintain the Shopify storefronts and plan the move to an in-house headless platform. After moving to Montréal in 2023, I stepped up as Tech Lead and led a globally distributed team through the second half of the migration.
This is the company that brought me from Chile to Canada, so it means a lot to me. It is also where I learned how much leadership matters when the stakes are high. I helped complete the move to a headless, multichannel platform, and rebuilt the deployment pipeline to cut build times from eleven minutes to two.
Staff Software Engineer
I joined as a Senior Software Engineer and grew into a Staff role at this edtech company, where I helped shape architecture at scale in a SaaS/B2B business.
I led a major migration from Ruby on Rails and REST to Go and gRPC while guiding the team through it. It reinforced that bringing people along matters as much as the migration itself.
Reveal my earlier experiences
Tech Lead, Software Engineer & Web Accessibility Advocate
I worked mostly on the LATAM Airlines account, And that is where accessibility became my focus.
I grew from engineer into an advocate and a subject matter expert. I developed WCAG 2.0 Level AA practices and training programs for teams across the company, and shipped a unified design system that spread across the product suite. More than the tools, this role showed me how much accessibility matters to the people using the product.
Full Stack Web Developer
I designed and built CMS websites for Latin American insurance, banking, and social-sector organizations with WordPress, PHP, Sass, and JavaScript. I also overhauled a legacy Oracle WebCenter Sites platform in Java.
Freelance Lead WordPress Designer & Developer
I built CMS sites for small and mid-sized regional businesses with WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, Sass, and Bootstrap. Along the way I sharpened my security skills and learned how to keep clients engaged.
Freelance Software Developer
I led the development of an educational augmented reality mobile app in Java for local schools, alongside WordPress CMS work for regional clients.
HTML & Flash Designer Trainee
This traineeship was how I wrapped up my French studies, right at the start of the exchange that turned into a decade in Chile. I built interactive HTML and Flash landing pages for local firms and got my first taste of building for real clients.
Educational foundations
I was always fascinated by computers and machines.
My dad introduced me to the world of home computers with an Oric (opens in a new tab) and the BASIC programming language (opens in a new tab). I remember playing a hangman game he had written himself (opens in a new tab) in 1992 on his Amstrad PC1640 DD (opens in a new tab). I was amazed by the logic behind it and all the magic that made this classic game work. As a kid, I found it truly mind-blowing that I could write pieces of software with words on a screen.
That fascination stuck. So I went and made it official.
I hold a Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie - Services et Réseaux de Communication (opens in a new tab) from Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Troyes (opens in a new tab) at the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne (opens in a new tab) in France, the foundation I have built on ever since.
All that moving around the world came with a bonus too. I speak French natively, plus Spanish and English gathered along the way.
